Did I get a good deal with my IQ?

Postby whats ur iq » Sat May 16, 2009 3:58 pm

Hi all,

I'm looking forward to joining the IQ owners club!!! I went for the base model in Black and think I got a good deal. I collect it on wednesday 20th. I don't think i've ever been so excited about getting a new car before.

I'm trading in my 14 year old volvo 460 which I paid 700 quid for a year ago and it's cost me nothing since.

So I got £2000 for it on the scrappage deal and negotiated free metallic paint. I then got free mats after the dealer messing up and it's on 8.9% Apr Toyota finance. So it's costing mean £7,495 a bargain I couldn't refuse!!!! So deals can be made on these new great little cars. It would be good for other potential buyers, to hear of others who got good deals and who are willing to post. May the IQ community continue to grow! (not to much though as it's nice driving something not many others do!!!)

I'll be posting again when I have the car with my first thoughts!!

Hi There!.. I too took delivery of my IQ2 on 18th May in white metalic manual from Toyota in Basingstoke and then drove it back to Poole. The stearing is very responsive which takes some getting used to and I found that the was a fair amount of road noise when driving at 70mph. However, all cars take getting used to and I have no regrets. I was offered free Retail Price Protection for three years which would normally cost£299.00. However, I paid for the tailgate trim and car mats on top which they would not include. I have yet to see another IQ on the road not even in London where the Fiat 500 and Smart cars are everywhere. Could it be the price? All in all it appears to be a well built car and is well equipped. I hope so as I only change my car every 10 years.
