Hi. It's Tim. I've just got all giddy about the IQ and been to test drive it twice in the last 4 days. I'm utterly bowled over by the design and the sense that this car represents a fundamental change/opportunity in car design. I've always liked the idea of a comfortable car with a degree of refinement but that doesn't generally come with small cars. Small cars have, arguably until the Mini, been an after thought. On my lest drive in St Albans I was sat at some lights next to a large Merc. and I was thinking, 'well, I've got all the gadgets you have for about one fifth of the price.' I have yet to convince Mrs ladyindoorsnotveryintocarsatall. She thinks it is a woman's car! And she's attracted by the Fiat 500, so we have to go and drive that too. It will be interesting to see how it compares. We made our way to the Toyota garage in my wife's Citroen C1 so we could compare the performance and in summary I'd say the Citroen feels more nippy and the iQ feels more refined. The noise level at 80mph on the same road in both cars was very similar, maybe slightly less loud in the iQ. So anyway a couple of weeks from now I may be in a Fiat 500 or an iQ, unless I also decide to test drive a Diesel Mini too.
