Rex arrives!!

Postby Subarman » Wed Jun 16, 2010 2:06 pm

Rex arrived on June 2nd. He is a base model and we have lowered his suspension and given him some door protectors. Couldn't help giving him a name somehow. I will mention it when I next visit my GP.

I have noticed the drivers door mat is already "moulting", as experienced elsewhere on this forum. Have also noticed some visibility issues at angled junctions when looking over the left shoulder. Easily remedied by adjusting the car's angle on approach to the junction. Short body and excellent turning circle help in this regard.

Other than that he is a great little car. Seems to be averaging about 52 mpg on short trips. We will brim the tank again before taking him on a long trip at the weekend and see what mpg we have really been getting. Will fill up again when we get back and report how well (or badly) he has done.

Rex parked with a standard height car. The difference is small, but noticeable when spiritedly negotiating a roundabout, compared with the standard car.

Hi there!

Yes the wheels seem to sit better within the radius of the wheel arch.

Height is lowered by about 25mm and they are the official dealer fitted accessory. I have seen lower ones on ebay but they may invalidate the warranty if fitted?
