Hi! I know that in France and Germany will be avaible in march. The motor will be the 1.3cc and will be Start & Stop version.

Does anybody think it will waste less than the 1 litre 68Hp? I´ve reading in http://www.forosmart.com (the chat of my last car, an smart roadster, before the Prius) that the new smart fortwo MHD (micro hybrid drive, an stupid way to call it hybrid, when is only Star Stop version) It waste even more somethimes, and that Its really unusefull plenty of times...

What Im really interested is about an hybrid version. I´ve read that will be an hybrid version in 2010 (wich I doubt) and the guy of toyota house (concesionario in spanish, sorry I don´t know how It´s in english) Well, he told me there will be an hybrid version in 2012... I hope that for 2012 Toyota will have for that moment good LiIon batterys!!

Mincho.

Extrapololating from the 2009 Yaris specs, the IQ 1.33 should approx be 100 hp, combined 64.6 mpg, 100 co2, max speed 105 mph, 0-62 in 10.7 secs.
However, I think the gearing in the IQ 1.0 is a lot higher than in the Yaris 1.0. Therefore the 1.33 IQ may accelerate a bit faster + a bit worse mpg/co2.
It is launched at the Geneva Motor Show which starts on 05Mar09. I wonder if it will better the 35 mpg that autocar got with the 1.0 IQ ?
There is a fantastic Toyota IQ showroom in the Champs-Elysees, Paris - it has the 1.0 manual, auto & diesel, plus exhibits of the IQ fuel tank v standard fuel tank etc

Hi all. Will the new 1.3 also have the CVT or will Toyota use the horrible automated manual gearbox from the Yaris/Aygo? I'm just waiting to order a new IQ2 on our company car scheme and as I use the car mostly in town and prefer automatic gearboxes I'll be ordering the CVT. If the 1.3 comes with the CVT as an option I'll wait for July as the extra oomph will probably be worth it at the expense of a little fuel. Gary
